PhD School in Molecular and Clinical Cancer Research (MCCR)

The MCCR PhD school was initiated in the autumn 2012 and consists of members from nine research groups from the Faculty of Health Science, University of Tromsø.

Cancer is the most important cause of death for Norwegians below 70 years old. Research on cancer and the other major diseases is at the heart of the research strategy of the Faculty of Health Science. Seven of the nine research groups participating in the PhD school are located at the Department of Medical Biology, two at the Department of Clinical Medicine and one at the Department of Pharmacy. The PhD school is hosted by the Department of Medical Biology.
