GRATISVISNING: Ice on Fire

ICE ON FIRE is a documentary produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio about climate change, Arctic methane release, and the newly developed technologies that could reverse global warming. Scientists from UiT's centre of excellence CAGE appear in the HBO documentary, which premiered to a standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival in May. After the free screening in Tromsø, scientists from CAGE and Arctic Centre for Sustainable Energy will be available to answer questions about carbon in the Arctic and the viability of mitigation scenarios outlined in the documentary.

ICE ON FIRE er en dokumentar produsert og fortalt av Leonardo DiCaprio om blant annet klimaendringer, metanutslipp i Arktis og de nye teknologiene som kan reversere den globale oppvarmingen. Forskere fra UiT bidrar til HBO - dokumentaren, som hadde premiere til stående applaus under Cannes Film Festival i mai. Etter den gratis visningen i Tromsø, vil forskere fra CAGE og Arktisk senter for fornybar energi ved UiT vil være tilgjengelige for å svare på spørsmål om karbon i Arktis og levedyktigheten av klimateknologiene som er skissert i dokumentaren.
