TEK-3600 Embedded Systems - 10 ECTS
Course content
Embedded systems handle the interaction between software and hardware. This course treats the entire workflow process in embedded systems from data acquisition to controlling actuators.
- Sensors and sensor data acquisition
- Embedded Digital Signal Processing (e.g. filters, vision systems and controllers using e.g. FPGA, microcontroller or Raspberry Pi)
- Actuators and actuator control
- Communications
Objectives of the course
This course is an extension of the bachelor's course AUT-2003 Automated systems. The course should give the candidate a deeper understanding of embedded systems and the fundamental elements of embedded systems, like sensors, actuators and the controlling unit. The candidate should be able to plan and design large systems, composed of smaller sub systems and ensure stable interactions between these. The candidate should master advanced software development for embedded systems with reliable functionality.Final exam
The course is closed and the last opportunity to take the exam after this semester is spring 2024Please see this web site for more information
