UiT Norges arktiske universitet maintains contacts and cooperation on all continents - both for research and education.
 
This is based upon the UiT cross-cutting strategies on knowledge-building in cooperation with internaitonal partners and on increased mobility.		 The selection of countries and institutions with which we establish contacts is in general determined by academic interests. We have an increased focus on institutional engagement in cooperations rather than contacts only ancored to single researchers; this secures more longterm and joint cooperations.

Within Europe the two EU-programmes Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ are the key tools both for UiT and in general for research strategies in Norway.

USA og Canada are among our most important cooperations outside Europe.
