Assess Seasonality in Pelagic Diversity and Carbon Export within the Central Arctic Ocean

SEDNA

SEDNA aims to identify and quantify the links between seasonal and spatial changes in physical ocean conditions and the pelagic  ecosystem of the Central Arctic Ocean (CAO). It relies on data collected from the Tara Polar Station to 1) Measure seasonal dynamics in Atlantification and stratification across the CAO; 2) Assess seasonal changes in diversity, functional roles, and trophic interactions; and 3) Identify and quantify seasonal changes in the sources and sinks of carbon.
