St. Petersburg 8 - 9 October 2013
The Workshop on Arctic Shipping was held at the Norwegian University Centre in St. Petersburg on 8-9 October 2013, in the context of the research project ;Regulating Arctic Shipping: Political, Legal, Technological and Environmental Challenges’ (A-LEX).
The A-LEX project is an interdisciplinary research project conducted within the framework of of the High North Research Centre for Climate and the Environment (Fram Centre). The four participating institutions in A-LEX are the University of Tromsø, Marintek, Akvaplan-niva and the Fridtjof Nansen Institute. Moreover, a significant number of cooperating researchers from foreign Universities - in particular within the Russian Federation - participate in the A-LEX project as well. Several of these also participated in the Workshop on Arctic Shipping.
